My Major, Fabulous Update!

So I have been a baaaad blogger since before Thanksgiving, so I made a New Year's resolution to myself to blog more, much more! So I'm a week into January, better late then never, right?!

So anyway, on to my updates! My sailor arrived home the night of December 17th and I was at the airport with his parents to pick him up. To see him come around the corner, dressed in his uniform, I was so excited, I literally flew into his arms.!! It was perfect! He was for 2 whole weeks and they were amazing and beyond perfect! I absolutely loved having him home and was so beyond spoiled to have him there!

Ok, I know, I'll get to the actual update. So on Christmas Eve, my family does our big dinner. He and I decided that this year we were going to spend Christmas Eve with my family, open presents with my family Christmas morning, then head to his house Christmas Day!

My Christmas Eve was PERFECT! After everyone had left my house around 9:30-10, it was only us, my mom and aunt, since I was going to open presents from my aunt, since I usually do that Christmas Day but I wouldn't see her since we were going to his house. So, we went into my room to get into comfy clothes while my mom cleaned up a little and my aunt went out to her car to get the presents. He kept bugging me get him gum out of his peacoat, and after first telling him to stop being lazy and get it himself, I said fine. I walked over to my closet and was searching through the pocket, when he walked over and took his leave chit out of his pocket (yes, I was confused lol). I was still looking through his pocket and told him he didn't have any gum, when I turned around to find him down on one knee...

HE PROPOSED!!!

I couldn't believe it and was soooooo excited! I literally covered my mouth with my hand because I was in shock and told him to "shut up" which he just laughed at. Then he asked me to marry him...I obviously said yes about a million times and couldn't stop kissing him!

We went and told my mom and aunt and they were extremely excited! It was great being able to share with just them first and then be able to share with his parents Christmas morning and his sister and family later. I found out later that he had been trying to find ways to ask me all day, but he kept changing how he wanted to do it and I also kept making it difficult by not always cooperating (such as getting him gum lol!) But how he did it was so perfect and so us and I wouldn't have or wanted it any other way!!

It was perfect and I am now officially engaged to my sailor!!!!!!! I absolutely could not be happier!! :)

The rest of his time home was amazing and we literally spent every second together! We spent New Year's at his house, cuddled up on the couch, because he flew back down to South Carolina on the 1st. But getting to ring in the New Year with him and give him a big kiss was all I wanted!

I've started some planning, just getting ideas and stuff together, but we haven't set a date yet, which my fellow Navy SO's can understand. He graduates his second school on February 25th (only 48 more days to go until I get to see him again, at least for a few days!!) and then once he starts his last school, we will have a better idea of when we can have it. We are hoping for the end of this year, very beginning of next, but it's the Navy, so we'll see! Right now we are just loving the fact that we are officially engaged and can share it with everyone (since we already knew we were going to get married, we just hadn't made it "official" yet). I am so beyond happy and in love and I honestly have been smiling ever since!! And being able to call him my finacee, I'm soooo loving it!!

That is my major, fabulous update, I hope it lived up to it's name!! Now I'll share some pictures from his time home!
