Nicholas Sparks

I met Nicholas Sparks tonight. Oh. My. God! :)

Look at my cheesin smile! Ahhhh I'm still so excited, I can't stop smiling! Tonight was amazing!
(I wrote this last night but the video was taking FOREVER to work lol!)

He was supposed to start signing at 7 and since the bookstore he was going to be at is only about 5 minutes from my house, my mom and I left at 6. When we got there, as soon as I walked into the store I saw him standing there and couldn't wait to meet him! He had gotten there early and had decided to start signing books right away, then was going to stop at 7 to talk then the store was going to have books signed according to the numbered ticket you had (I was 333, yuck!). Well once I got online I only had to wait about 10 minutes to get him to sign my book and take a picture. I was so happy that I had gotten there early because I didn't have to wait at all!

He was ridiculously nice and as soon as I got up to him he said hi and asked how I was. I swear I had the BIGGEST smile ever on my face! And he called me sweetie, which I'm sure made me smile even bigger! I told him how much of a fan I was and that I love his books. I also told him I got my boyfriend to read one of his books and he liked it, it made him laugh! (I made him read Dear John lol. And wrote him my own anti-Dear John letter to read after he finished the book. It wasn't his favorite, nor mine, but he said it wasn't that bad, so in my opinion, from him and this type of book, I'll take it!) So happy that I got a picture with him too, made it even better!

 Soooooo cool! I still can't believe it!

Then we had to wait about 20 minutes until he stopped signing and talked to us. It was so great! Before he started he told us that he would talk a little then he could ask us anything we wanted, nothing would embarass him, he's heard it all. Then he goes "And therefore, for anyone who wants to know, boxers." Haha it was great! He talked a bit about his new book, Safe Haven, but didn't want to say too much since he didn't want to give anything away to those that hadn't read it yet. He talked a about starting to write another book before this one, then, not liking where it was going, started writing Safe Haven in February and now here it is!

 Instead of sitting at the table to talk, he decided to stand on it so that everyone could see and hear him.

Such an experience, it was so amazing!

Not only is he a great author, but he is so personable and great speaker!

He then took people's questions and literally took every person who raised their hand. It was so nice! He wanted to be sure that every person who wanted to ask him something got their questions answered! People asked a lot but I was able to take a video of him answering! It's about 10 minutes long.

Hopefully it works! If anyone wants to watch it and it doesn't, please let me know so I can fix it!

I still can't believe I met him! He is my absolute FAVORITE author and this was such an amazing experience! And meeting him and seeing how such a sweet sweet guy he is only made me love him more! This is one of those memories that I will always keep with me! :)

If you haven't read his new book yet, read it! I read it literally in one day, I couldn't put it down! But then again, with his books, I can NEVER put them down until they are finished! 

I am going to bed with a HUGE smile on my face tonight! Even my sailor, when he called me after getting back into his room for the day after classes/watch, asked me how it was and said he wanted to hear all about my "exciting night". I thought it was really cute that he also told me that he's really happy I went and got to meet him. Even he knows my love for Nicholas Sparks!
